Hey guys we've been able to find many more people to start playing S. I'm leading an effort to better coordinate future games.
We have a discord that we're coordinating everything under so people will be able to voice chat in games and build some good relationships too.We have been able to start playing with some of the other big name players too like Lucky Llamma and RVA. Part of playing in these games will be to have you download voobly and we can help you with any networking issues you have with it as well.DM me if you would like to be added to this Discord server.
Welcome back to another edition of Expanding the Clone Wars where we explore the latest episodes of The Clone Wars and see how they fit in with current Star Wars Expanded Universe lore! This week in Episode 5.02 'A War on Two Fronts,' a small band of rebels have taken refuge in the wilderness of Onderon plotting to take back the fortified city of Iziz from the Separatist backed King and seek the help of Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Captain Rex to train them successful guerrilla tactics. In this edition of Expanding the Clone Wars, we will explore Onderon, the rebels, the Jedi Council, and more!Look for EUCantina's review of 'A War on Two Fronts' on later this week.OnderonFirst appearing in the comic Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic, Onderon is a temperate planet made up of brutal fauna and savage beasts that the human population seek refuge from behind the giant walled city of Iziz.
Star Wars Battlegrounds Expanded Fronts
4,000 years before The Clone Wars, criminals were exiled into the Onderon wilderness without any protection from the animals and these outcasts soon learned to defend themselves and eventually tamed the Drexl flying warbeasts. The beasts the rebels fly in this episode are different creatures than the Drexl we saw in Tales of the Jedi, now is this because the beats hunted to extinction or are they still on Onderon but no longer used as beasts of burden during The Clone Wars? The city of Iziz made a brief appearance in this episode and while it doesn’t have the giant mountain in the centre of the city like we saw in the Tales of the Jedi comic, it still takes existing visual cues while adding in the unique Clone Wars style. The people of Onderon rely on beasts of burden in both the rebel camp and city market which is what we have seen before in existing Expanded Universe material. This is the first episode in what is most likely going to be an exciting four-part series and we have yet to see elements like the moon of Dxun, which was the largest of the four moons that orbited the planet and once a year the atmosphere’s of Onderon and Dxun would connect, which allowed the vicious Drexls, which inhabited Dxun, to settle on Onderon. In Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders had a sprawling military complex built on the dangerous moon and used it as a base of operations during the Mandalorian Wars. Perhaps the Death Watch have used the Dxun outpost as a staging area for their growing military and since Lux Bonteri was born on Onderon, he could have originally come in contact with Death Watch on the moon.RebelsThe rebel faction on Onderon has a very similar vibe to the ancient Beast Riders who in Tales of the Jedi: Knights of the Old Republic rose up to challenge the Naddists who controlled the city of Iziz eventually claiming the city from the dark siders. About the Author Andy Ury joined EUCantina in 2012 as a columnist of the weekly Expanding The Clone Wars column, exploring the current Expanded Universe and fitting it in with the new continuity brought about with The Clone Wars TV series.Andy has been a huge Star Wars fan since first viewing the VHS Special Edition of the Original Trilogy in 2002, and since then he has poured over every detail of the SWEU.
Andy believes every aspect of the Star Wars Expanded Universe can somehow be retconned into one cohesive continuity, including Lil’ Maul and Skippy the Jedi Droid.2 Comments. I’m pretty sure the Tholothian Jedi in that scene is Adi, but not because she lived. This episode was produced before Revival, you can tell by the Yoda model. The one used in this episode is the one from previous seasons, and the one seen briefly at the end of Revival was an updated model. I believe an issue of Star Wars Insider also listed A War on Two Fronts as being the first episode of the season at one point back before Celebration VI.Seems like we’re still seeing episodes out of chronological order on occasion. They probably just did this because Revival made for a stronger season opener than A War on Two Fronts would have, in addition to immediately continuing the Darth Maul storyline that we left off with at the end of last season.
For most, all eyes are on and to a slightly lesser extent, theand the plethora of books that are expanding the extensive canon of the Star Wars universe as it enters its 40th year. This is a great time for the historians of a galaxy far, far away. Now they know, why Darth Vader was so insistent on “” from Boba Fett, and the main plot is being pushed forward for the 8th time in the last four decades. What some may be looking over is the impact will have on the overall story of Luke, Han, and the Empire. As we get closer to Battlefront 2’s November 17 launch, we’re learning more about the campaign’s story which will span from Return of the Jedi, well into The Force Awakens, all from the perspective of an elite Empire soldier.Since Disney wiped the expanded universe’s lore, massive gaps in timelines have needed to be filled, and now we’re in the shoes of Commander Iden Versio, who is stomping Rebels and Ewoks as the second Death Star blows up.
From there, we’ll presumably see how Kylo Ren’s First Order buddies came about and how the Empire as we know it fell, but the recent campaign trailer shows another interesting location: Episode I‘s Naboo. Home of Queen Amidala, Palpatine, and most importantly, Jar Jar Binks. It’s clear that Dice is using some of the multiplayer levels and assets in the single-player game, that’s expected, but the inclusion of The Phantom Menace location has to have a purpose beyond just shoehorning in a beautiful, for the hell of it.Spoilers.
